So, It's been a long while since I blogged and it's time for a post! 

If you didn't already know, I am a SewingPortfolios.com Ambassador. (See the badge right there) What is that you say? Well, I am a member of an organization where people are available for sewing and business collaborations! The members are stellar, very talented and are from around the globe!!  If you are/have a business and you need pattern testers, sample makers, designers - ANYTHING SEWING BUSINESS - This is the place for you. SewingPorftolios.com coloborated with Michael Miller Fabrics for a great campaign. As an Ambassador, I received MM fabric to create and showcase as I wish. When I saw the prints I thought "little girl" (like everyone else) but, I don't have any tiny ladies in my life right now! So, it took a while to figure out what to make, as I am an apparel sewer and the pieces were a bit smaller than what I'm used to. Since I was sent a total of three yards (1yd per print), I needed to have a "make it work for me" moment.  Not only were these fabrics beautiful and fun, they quality is unmatched! The cotton is super soft and the colors are soooo vibrant! The line is appropriately called "How Does Your Garden Grow".

FYI - I had two other Michael Miller Fabrics in my stash, one is already a summer dress and the other is so pretty I don't want to cut into it!  ROFL!! I just like to unfold it on my cutting table pet and drool on it. Then I put it back! (HA!)

Junior Prom 2017

My sweetie pops went to Prom!

Here is my submission for Faye's Tops that Pop Sew-A-Long!

During the challenge I was inundated with KC's prom project. I shopped for and altered his suit, changed the buttons on the suit, made his pocket square, ascot and his dress shirt (i.e. Pop'n Top!) In this past two weeks I think I heard the word "Mommy" so many times, I'm hearing it in my sleep! (or am I woke?) I made a HUGE boo boo and had to start the shirt completely over (thank God I had extra fabric). After that rude awakening, I knew I wouldn't make this challenge with all the work that needed to be completed before prom so, I asked Ms. Faye would KC's shirt work for the challenge and to my surprise she said yes! Here are some pics of KC's Pop'n Top and that Pop'n Top in ACTION!

After 17 Years!

The Hubby!

My Husband, my DDH, my life partner, my keep it real, my rock, my pain, my frustration, my everything!

Hey Y'all - Long time since my last post! Well anyway, Hubby has sparked a blog post. (I think he is sleeping and I hope it stays that way until I get done!) After I post, there's nothing he can do! (chuckle)  Anywhooooo, you think you know your spouse until you let them have the floor. 

I have been sewing non-stop for the last 16 years.  I have sewn for profit, proms, magazines, retail stores and professionally for businesses. (although I don't profit sew anymore) I pull all-nighter's, plan outfits for EVERY occasion, mentor newbies on social media, I'm a sew sista, I swim/live and LOVE fabric, I love to see my fellow sewistas from all over the world post what they are sewing, knitting, crocheting. The online fabric community gives me chills and when I have that urge, some enabler posts sales and I run to the store and buy patterns to ease the savage beast. (My pattern stash is ridiculous!) I CREATE!

Why does he think I am the only one with this problem passion?  Well watch as you see my husband be faced with an ugly truth.  HE WAS WRONG ABOUT ME! I am not the only one!

I love my sew sista's and the sewing community off and online! What a great bunch of women you are to share my passions! Feel free to share with your significant other! If you can get him to sit down long enough to entertain my Pink Web Page! ROFLMAO!

Hello Everyone!  Thanks for visiting my blog as I have some "New" news!

I have created a Facebook Group! My personal FB page was being infiltrated by my sewing peeps! That's a good thing, but lots of my peeps don't sew! So, I decided from this point on I would have a home for sewing peeps and my regular and old skool peeps would have a place on my regular page!
